All 3 of my kids STILL have an extra set of pants/underwear tucked in their backpacks, just in case. I also had to add a pad to Fred's backpack, just in case, I almost died.

Our school also has lots of helpers to open things at lunch time.

I have parked my car and unloaded 4 kids for 5 years, it's evil, it's painful and naps are destroyed. I had an AM K, followed by a PM K, followed by an AM K, followed by a break and then another AM K. Good luck fitting pick up around nap time I hope things even out for you quickly. I don't plan on my kids ever riding the school bus it's too scary for me. I stay home, there's no reason for them to ride a bus.

Good Luck with everything!!!

We walk Bear to school....but they have the *weirdest* drop-off policy. You're not allowed to watch your kid walk to the playground gate. You have to drop him off and move along so someone can take your spot.

I guess they had problems with people double parking and just sitting there making sure their kids get in OK. They were worried about kids getting hit. But I think it's CRAZY that they went with drop off and leave instead of park and walk.

I hope you get their schedules worked out.

School started a few weeks ago here. I LOVE having more alone time with Finch and the twins. I hope you love it, too.

Hey Safire!!
When my daughter started Kindy last year, we found out at openhouse (before school started) to actually bring a change of clothes in a big ziploc bag!! They understand that children are in new environments and easily excited.

At our school they have volunteers during lunch that their only job is to help the little ones with their juice boxes, lids, etc. So don't worry, if that is your main concern, you are GOOD TO GO!!! I remember when Butterfly was born...
