GMYBS- Links on a Chain

I have been running from one thing to another day getting ready for Butterfly’s big birthday bash tomorrow.  We’re having a carnival and hopefully it will turn out okay.  I’ve got a million and one things running through my head.  Mostly I’m just happy I found my underwater camera that is my video camera today.  It has a tendency to walk away in small hands.  This time, I found it in my camera bag.  Imagine that.

Ahem…moving on.

Tonight we had the great pleasure of going to a wedding of Juice’s cousin.  It was a lot of fun to see all of our relatives, and to have everyone remark on how SIMILAR Butterfly and Pirate were to all the other little cousins running around.  Gotta love those genes and how they show up!  Also, it’s fun to hear of all my cousins who read the blog.  Hi guys!

Juice’s cousin was in charge of pictures and asked me to bring my camera along and help out a little.  I was a bad phototog and didn’t charge my batteries.  So the camera ran out of juice right as they were cutting the cake.  (See Dad this is why I need a battery grip!)  Still, Jenny was able to get some good pictures (I just handed my camera over to her.  You try wrangling 3 kids and try and take pictures!)  I was also able to help her stage family shots and get every one’s attention.  Juice’s comment after we were done with the pictures: “Your dad would have been so proud.”

I took this picture of Juice making his chain mail gloves.  A tutorial is in the works (hence the pictures) but I really liked this one for some odd reason.

Step 4, hook links together

I like the depth of field and the picture of Juice with tools in his hands. Something he loves to do.

Wow! I had a Halloween Carnival for Jr’s 5th Birthday! It must be a popular choice for kids that age, or maybe we’re just truly awesome moms to go to all that work.

I can’t wait to see the chain mail glove tutorial. There are many tutorials I’ve read, been enthralled with and never acted on, I think that would be one of them.

I miss your blogroll. I’m going to have to bookmark my favorite blogs to stalk off your blogspot before it disappears.

I am always proud of you no matter what. I thought you had a battery grip, but you will need a new one for the 40D. I find the battery lasts a long time, so maybe if you remember to turn it off and charge it once in a while, it will be ok. I even have a car battery charger for it in case you forget.

You are the heir apparent to the photog crown in the family. I am a glad someone will carry on the tradition. It will all go to you when I leave this world. (That will probably be a while, though)

Love the blog and you as well.

I don’t know much about Seed products, so it would be neat to win something from them. I hope Butterfly’s birthday went well. How are you all feeling? I hope the birthday girl is happy and health for her big day. Can’t wait for the pictures. :)

Hope Butterfly’s party goes well. Can’t wait to see the pics! I sent a request on FB to follow “you” and I’m now following Seed, although I’m not sure how to post something on their wall. I love eco-friendly products and I’m slowly switching my cleaning products to homemade, eco friendly ones as well. It’s one way I can do my part to care for the planet!

The hairwashing video of you and Lolli is just priceless. Not only is it incredibly cute, it is informative, too! I’m not surprised that you won with it. Congrats!

I’ve never tried a shampoo bar before, but after seeing it in action (and getting assurance that it really does lather up), I’d really like to try it.

Also, I’m very curious about a shampoo bar b/c I haven’t tried one before. Would making bringing your shampoo on a plane a lot easier (no liquids)! Thanks again!

Hey! I like that picture, too – I do love my Pantene, but I like to use a different shampoo everyonce is a while for a refresher. I’d love to try this bar!

    Good luck everyone!

I went back and watched you and loli again when you won and your video still made me laugh and cry. The crying because I wanted to be there too!

I didn’t know you were a tree hugger! how did that happen? I don’t get that vibe from very many of the natives I meet here.

Are you still using the same bar you were using when you made the video? How much of your script was rehearsed and how much was ad libed?

I’ve got to put a link to your new blog on mine! Otherwise I think you just haven’t been writing. Thanks again for the help! It was great to have you there telling people what to do! Great vocals you’ve got there. For me, trying to direct crowds is the curse of a soft voice. It’s true, your kids blended right in with Susie’s grandkids! :)
